Memorum is a non-profit project to preserve and share the collective stories of humanity, for all of time. The project takes on the sacred mission of remembering anyone who wants to be remembered.
What does this mean, specifically? In its earliest manifestation, it means a digital archive of people's memories in the form of journals, questions, pictures, and videos, that are stored in a way that protects them from loss, deletion, being sold, or shut down. It means a website that you can store your or your loved ones' memories that you can rest assured will always be there, and you can always go back to, free from ads or monetization. It means a place to save your memories somewhere that you know will continue to be there after you're gone. It can be the photo album you pass on to your kids. It can be the half-finished book you always wanted to publish but never did. It can be the memory of the way your grandfather's smile made you feel. Whether you release your memories now, or only after you're gone, is up to you.
And while we're still here, Memorum can be our place to find each other, too. Who knows what beautiful stories exist that span the distance of space and time?
